1. Product Description
HyperSilMag-Carboxylic Acid beads allow for the covalent attachment of primary amine-containing ligands (proteins, antibodies) using carbodiimide (EDC) activation chemistry. Ideal for affinity purification and immunoprecipitation.
2. Specifications

- Storage conditions: 2-8°C. DO NOT FREEZE.
3. Protocol: EDC/NHS Activation
Ensure EDC and NHS are freshly prepared before use.
- Wash: Wash 100 µL beads twice with 500 µL MES Buffer (pH 5.0).
- Activation: Add 100 µL freshly prepared EDC (10mg/mL) + NHS (10mg/mL) in cold MES buffer. Incubate 15 min at RT.
- Wash: Wash quickly with MES buffer to remove excess EDC/NHS.
- Coupling: Immediately add ligand (10-100 µg) in PBS or MES. Incubate 2 hours at RT.
- Blocking & Wash: Wash with PBS. Add 1M Tris (pH 7.4) for 30 min to quench. Wash 3x with storage buffer.
